I was trying to find something about Angelina Jolie

It was weird that yesterday I heard on the radio about Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt having too many kids for the sake of the children - my same belief that they get lost in the shuffle if you have too many.

It came from a psychologist, so do not tell me I AM WRONG - I believe what I believe and anything over, say half-dozen - is just too much.

When you start counting them like eggs, that is just sick. (for ME the two step-kids and my ONE is ENOUGH!)

Then, I get home and Mr. and Mrs Smith is on- had to watch it because the psychology of it is amazing.

You SEE them falling in love right on the screen in this rough and CRAZY way.

Then I get to work and there is this story about someone having their 18 kid - and I think it must be those people who were on TLC(and OMG they are having #18 too) But NO it is new people and the Dad says,

Then I start looking for that psychologists statement about Angelina and Brad and ALL THE KIDS THEY WANT and all I can find is that her Dad, Jon Voigt, is in the news Obama-bashing.

Fun, but I don't necessarily want him on my side.

Testing, Testing, One - Two, Testing....

Years ago I broke my ankle crossing the street to meet with a client for the first time - Yes, I crawled across Park Avenue on a Friday morning in January - the people heading toward me in their cars on the way to work must have thought I started drinking early ---really I almost got run down and no one helped that was walking past, even though I asked them for help!!! Minnesota nice was not with me that morning.

What happend was I was restricted to bed for a few days to reduce the swelling so I could get a cast - and I got hooked on an infomercial for Bare Minerals.

Yes, I bought makeup off tv because Leslie Blodgett told me too.

And she was right! The stuff is awesome - and I TRIED the drugstore kinds, Sheer Cover, and some other private labels - they all have fillers and either feel 'cakey' or have sparkles in them -

Do you want shimmering foundation?

It was the first, and last, time I ever bought anything off tv that actually did what it advertised...

Until Miss Laura Ingells came along and stole my heart with WEN - yes, Chaz what-is-name made this awesome haircare product called

WEN Cleansing Conditioner - (so far Fig is my favorite scent, Lavendar is second)

This stuff really works - my hair is clean, soft and shiny - BUT I did not purchase it off tv. I did what I do now when I feel the lure of celebrities on Television (DAMN YOU CINDY CRAWFORD!!!)

I looked on Ebay - if there is a lot out there, dont' buy it it stinks! There were less than one dozen listings for WEN!!!

Next, I searched the internet for deals on it, GUESS WHAT - there is a better deal and more variety at AMAZON.COM than at WENHAIRCARE.COM!!!

Just ignore Chaz Dean's weirdo pictures of himself and you will be fine.

I also do not recommend the styling products - just get the cleansing conditioner.

I was also recently sucked in by organic dogs -

This cereal was in the organic aisle and I asked hubby to get it at the General Mills store where he works...they don't carry it anymore!!!! So, I bought some.

YUCKY!!!!!

Clifford lures you in when you taste a few pieces when you open the box, but the second you poor any milk on it - it becomes a tastless mush!!!!

So, if you buy it - keep it as a snack, not cereal.

Perhaps some years back when he was still married to Nicole I would have gone to see this in hope it redeemed Mr. Cruise from the time and money wasted on "Eyes Wide Shut", "Magnolia" and "Vanilla Sky".

But now with the news he may have really turned sweet little Katie purple, I just have no hope for this man.

July 19, 12:31 am - missed Grandma's birthday by 31 minutes, NINE POUNDS three ounces, 20.5 inches - Mommy and Daddy are good.

YES NINE POUNDS and two hours of pushing!!!

Boo Boo and I went to Mason's birthday - I will be getting pics out of my camera soon - I am so lazy! Gotta get that video out of the birthday boy getting some love! ;)

Poor, poor Quattro. T-bone even said, "It is so sad, he was our baby before Marin was born. He got to sleep between us and get all kinds of love. I feel awful."

Poor, poor Quattro. At least he now gets to play with my beloved Lucky again...

Quattro was not happy to be displaced by Marin, then Lucky died and I think my poor little man just finally gave up.

It is no secret that I do not see why everyone is so "in love" with Barak Obama.

He is for change...duh
He is for hope...My uncle Bud used to say, "Wish and hope in one hand and put manure in the other. You see which fills up first."

Now, some would say I am obviously racist. Obvious to whom?

I might say you are a misogynist...when I told my step-daughter that she said, "What is a misogynist?" I feel I have failed her, or is it society? Misogyny is allowed, but racism or elitism or any other 'ism' is BAD!!

And now he really ticked me off and he better NOT pay for any ads during the Olympics. I mean COME ON! It is not China's fault the IOC decided to turn a blind eye to politics and human rights and selected them to host the Olympics. Blame the IOC, not China or the Athletes, or even President Bush. But then, aren't the Olympics about healthy and friendly competition? About doing your best as an athlete, and NOT politics? Or did we learn nothing from boycotting Russia?

Okay, off the soapbox now.

In lighter news both Nicole Kidman/Keith Urban and Matthew McConaughey/Camila Alves had their babies this week. Kidman a girl and Alves a boy -- Match made in Hollywood?

The difference is in the announcement - Kidman/Urban "We want to thank everybody that has kept us in their thoughts and prayers. We feel very blessed and grateful that we can share this joy with you today," Urban said.

McConaughey said he and Alves were "stoked and wowed".

Damn, he's sexi! :)

Whew, I was worried.

When is it no longer appropriate?

Boo Boo likes to be topless in the lake, pool, etc. AND she demands I remove her 'suit at once when we get out of the water and start wrapping in a towel.

At what age is this no longer appropriate? I wonder when to stop her?

My birthday was June 21 - my Mommy gave me a bottle of wine (Merlot), gift certificate to my favorite restaurant (Thistles) and this funny card with a baby on a potty, holding a baby bottle.


On the top it said "Wishing you the perfect birthday!"


Inside it said "A bottle of your favorite drink, a good poo, and a two hour nap!"

Then this morning I click on a link to join a potty training challenge and see THE SAME BABY, but no bottle and the potty is pink, not yellow.

It made me laugh out loud. ;)
