Talk to the hand!

....that is what my child said to the the other day.

I was in shock.

I looked down over the other side of the counter at the girl who used to be my baby and said,

"Boo Boo!  You don't talk to your mother that way EVER!"

*face*

"I mean it Boo Boo if you EVER say that to me again you will be in your room for a loooooong while."

*lip out - stomp away*

It is such a disrespectful thing to say, don't you agree?

Flash forward to the car later that day and I tell T-bone, "Do you know what Boo Boo said to me?  'Talk to the hand!', can you believe it?"

"Boo Boo!  You don't talk to mommy that way.  WHERE did you hear that?  Sair???  Where?"

*face - instant sobbin - wail*

AM I IN TROUBLE???? *WAIIIIIL*

No no no - we just want to know where you heard it.  Its fine.

*snort - sob - snort - sniffle*

I heard it on .... sniffle .... Phineas and Ferb .... WAIIIIIIIL!

"Really? Huh."

See I love the Phineas and Ferb so I was kind of sad.  I had to google it and I found it.  Can you believe she got it from the seconds in this clip?

Kids.  They have selective hearing.

Ooooh that would NOT fly in our house either. At least you let her know it's not nice to say and she knows now.

Hee! Better she learns it from Phineas and Ferb than her mother. Not that anything like that ever happened at our house.

I hear what you're saying that it's not a good thing to hear when your child tells you "talk to the hand" - but I have to say I enjoy that Phineas and Ferb episode *sheepish look*

Lulu doesn't take well to cartoon shows - darn her for her two-year-old-brain - and would rather watch shows like Victorious or iCarly...and she gets A LOT from them. Horray!!
