How to sum up 2007?

I have been thinking a lot at random points over the past few days about where I am now compared to this time last year and this is what I have come up with so far, but it will be the last word...tomorrow we leave for the Skilldum Plantation in Tofte and will be entirely free of tv and internet---we will however have a Wii!!!

1. I now work from home full-time and have since July. It is interesting how much you can get accomplished in one day when you do not have to commute.
2. My daughter is about to turn two and I am just not ready for it; I actually miss her being tied to me for breastfeeding.
3. I am still trying to win the lottery by buying a few tickets a week.
4. I gained back EVERY SINGLE POUND I LOST after having the baby, I now weigh more than I did the day I had her...it is sad. I was five pounds from my goal in September 2006, what happend to me?
5. I see the light at the end of the tunnel with my first sale for AMEX. It is a long road when they switch bosses on you six weeks into a new career!
6. I am getting LASIK on January 10---NO MORE GLASSES YEAH!!!
7. I am happy that all my close group of friends are now mommy's with me--YEAH for H & P who added to the babyboom in October 2007!!! Next up, my brother and Ki-ki!!!
8. Despite the fact I get a lot done each day I still wish I had a few more hours here and there...some for sleep and some to work out!! ;) Maybe that is the trouble....hmmmm
9. I love my hubby a lot---he does tons of cool things for me. I am reminded all the time by things that happen around me how lucky I am to have him.
10. My baby and my step-kids get along FANTASTICALLY!!! They love each other very much.
11. Everyone is healthy and happy.

So that is it, some bad---most good. I have to remember that, so it is nice to write it down.

I WAS actually surprised they didn't make the nipples more pronounced after the water dump; so that is SOMEthing.

Tofte in the snow

I take a lot of pictures of the view from the cabin...notice the change this year? Yes, there are now LUXURY CONDOS on the shore just down from the Skildum plantation. Yikes!

You can buy a quarter share for $150k.

So bummed

I had visions of sharing photos of our kill from the weekend in Tofte.

PKW and I went to the cabin to try and clean house. Last time anyone was up at the cabin, the meeces ate something that was the straw that broke the kind-hearted liberals back.

We had over 80 freaking mouse traps, peanut butter, sausages, etc. and NOT ONE MOUSE FELL FOR OUR BAIT.

It sucked. Do you believe I feel cheated? Me, someone who hates to kill mosquitos...but the mice were asking for it baby!!

We got the cabin clean and plugged up holes where we thought they were coming in, then left all the traps behind---phasers set to kill.

I am waiting for an update from PKW later in the week.

Handmaiden's Craftmas

I I trekked out last Sunday after church to do some good old fashioned Christmas Craft Shopping...I was not disappointed. I found some VERY cool necklaces---I hope the two women
who will get them enjoy them!! I got them from LEFTHAND ORIGINALS...

as well as these cool babies for myself....

I found a TON of cool prints, t's, jewelry, crochet items, etc. that were totally fun and irreverent...definitely what I can wear now that people do not see me much. Working from home has it's perks I tell ya! I restrained myself to the earrings and a cool hat.

These coasters were made by Giraffe, she also does very cool coasters of prints by a local artist. I am sure they are somehow entangled, but not sure how yet. He has awesome prints that are retro-50's with UFF-Da sayings, low-cut bodices and high skirts on the chicky's and other assorted "ironic" designs.

Last, but not least, these cool burp-cloths from Sheppard Girl. My hubby thought they were placemats...really T-Dogg, who buys three placemats in three patterns?

So that is the booty from the craft sale. If I forgot you, you got something crappy from the MOA!!! ;)

Its Friday, thank god.

It's Friday, yes that is true. But, I have a hell week coming up.

My hubby, T-dogg, has meetings EVERY DANG NIGHT.
My class (and final project due) ends Friday!!!
I have meetings scheduled and holiday shopping to finish
I STILL feel like I am not over the flu...and now Jake has it.

Yuck.

So, let's think of something else and listen to the guitar hero!!!

1. It was supposed to snow today? See what happens when you do not watch the news because your 23 month old child wants to watch "Cars" for the eighty-millionth time.
2. PAMAR - WTF is with those CRAZY words you have to type in when you post comments. They crack me UP!
3. The stomach flu went through our house, yes literally.
4. I wish I could eat, but I still can not stand the sight of food.
5. I am going to pick up Boo Boo La La at daycare today in her sled, so there!
