Make Brookstone YOUR Holiday Elf

Saturday, November 12, 2011

So Thursday night I got invited to an event at Brookstone where they were going to highlight some great gifts for the upcoming Holidays - Hey, I love a good night out at the Mall of America - AND the opportunity to meet more local bloggers does not hurt.

Where were you Life With Levi??  We could have carpooled!

@Iambooboolala and I got there at the same time as Darcie of Gust Gab - and Tracy from Sellabit Mum was not far behind her.  I love these women's blogs AND Tweets ;)  And we were tweeting to @brookstone the whole night!

So without further ado - here is what you can get me for Christmas this year.

I love my bed - and to prevent marital strife how about some Tempurpedic Pillows exclusively at Brookstone and a DUAL control heating blanket from Brookstone's own line.

Then for the family there are cool things like a treat dispenser that detects motion - or the bowls that keep your cereal from EVER being soggy:

Obol
Mmmm M&M's thanks Kevin

And if you want to keep your child happy - just park her with the Tech Guys up front at Brookstone and watch what happens:

Here Rover!

Come and GET ME!!
The new remote control vehicles can even be powered by Apps for your iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad or Android Smart Phone.  AND THEY TAKE PICTURES!!!! How cool is that brother?

So thank you Brookstone for inviting us to join you in getting ready for the Holiday Season ahead!

Note: I was compensated with lovely treats AND M&M's - plus a nice gift bag for telling you about what Brookstone has for the holiday season.  Check out their stocking stuffers too!!!!

But I bought the Santa Pig Popper for myself - too fun!

POP!

Here is how the fish talk:

Thursday, November 10, 2011

One of the perks of knowing I have a job, but not having to actually start for a while, is that @Iambooboolala and I can do pretty much whatever we want during the morning hours.  Yesterday that meant a diverted trip to the Mall Of America when our lunch plans fell through.

We went on two rides and then I told Boo Boo that we could go to Lego's Imagination Center.

She LOVED that.

She played with two little boys who are also in afternoon kindergarten while one of their mother's and I talked about PTO.  (We both are on PTO and shared ideas and challenges.)

Then I told her we needed to get lunch if we were going to make it to school on time...she caught out of her eye

The Rainforest Cafe

Now it would NOT have been my choice to go anywhere near a location that charges $6 for macaroni and cheese - but I decided to go with it.

We asked and got seated near a tank of fish and immediately had to find the puffer fish.  Here is "Squishy" who floated around by us nearly all of our lunch.

And here is what Boo Boo had to say about the fish.

B: Mama, all the fish can talk to each other you know.  They speak the same language.

M: Really?

B: Yes, they can talk but its different.  You see the English fish go like this...*puts hands to side of face and says "bloop"*

M: Uh huh so what else?

B: Then the SPANISH fish go like this....*puts hands to side of face and says, "blurp"*  AND the Chinese fish go like this...*hands to side of face and says, "blirpy" - and then there is the sign language fish...*puts hands to side of face and makes blowing kissy face motions without sound*

M: (trying to maintain the seriousness that she has used to portray fish languages) And they all understand each other?

B: Of COURSE Mama, they are fish!

What Does Brookstone Sell - Mall of America

Thursday, May 26, 2011

Last week I was invited to shop the new Outdoor Living section at Brookstone.  I have to tell you that what I was shown was impressive!

Kevin, the manager at MOA store, met @IamBooBooLaLa and I up in the front on the awesome patio furniture they had on display.  They are selling all sorts of outdoor furniture, including drapes and rugs!
Boo Boo was especially taken with the display of pool toys on the floor.  She flopped on the Neo Noodles and wrapped up like a sausage in the bright yellow Neo Lounger.

Don't get me started on how badly she wanted the remote control sub!

Personally, I wanted the wireless outdoor speaker - it hooks to your MP3 player AND had great sound!

Our time invited to the Brookstone store at Mall of America was breif, but we sure enjoyed looking at all they had to offer.  Brookstone even gave me something JUST FOR YOU.  (Well, they gave it to me for this review - but I am giving it to you because that is just who I am.)

Keep your cell phone, BlackBerry®, other smartphones, digital camera, iPod® or iPhone® device charged and ready, no matter where you are—using a choice of 4 power sources: a standard wall plug, your vehicle’s power socket, a computer USB port or a 9-volt battery (battery sold separately). Cord retracts into charger for easy storage. LED shows when connection is made. Includes tips. (source of this copy and all photos is www.Brookstone.com)

Then, comment!  Tell me how much you get a charge out of that charger!  Ha!

Brookstone compensated me with this $39.95 plus tax charger, but as always the opinions given at this blog are mine and mine alone.  All contest rules subject to change at will by Mommy Lisa because, well, I am in charge around here.
