And how do you take care of your girl?

Monday, July 23, 2012

I am sure you have heard me talk about being a Twin Cities Chevy Girl over the past two years.  I love hanging on Facebook and Twitter with them.  And I love telling you about the great giveaways they have for all of you.  They have these giveaways all the time, so if you like the page on Facebook you can find out about each one!

Now if you are in another city than I am - there MAY be Chevy Girls and Giveaways in your city too.  Just Google them.  :)

What I am talking about today is the latest giveaway that you can register for from July 23-July 29th - a $100 gift card to Outback Steakhouse.

Why is this giveaway SO special to me?

See these girls?

Their LOVE of steak knows NO BOUNDS.

What I want to tell you is to register for the gift card, but what I need to share is about my Sair-Bear, the one on the left of the photo.

You see, Sair-Bear, she is in college now and we don't get to see her often enough.  But when anyone does visit her in SE Minnesota or ask her where she would like to go for dinner on her birthday the answer is ALWAYS - "Outback!".

The girl loves her the Outback Sirloin Special with baked potato and veggies.

OMG - she LOVES this meal.  Like, if you visited to spend time with her at college and suggested ANYTHING else her beautiful heart, and tummy, would cry.

So - I am merely suggesting that you register to win gift card.  If you win you take your best girls and all order the Outback Signature Sirloin with baked potato and veggies.  Because I tell you, it is magical how it will make you happy.

Go.Now.Register.

Goodbye - Farewell - See you at Thanksgiving...

Since today is the day my dear hubs T-bone takes his first born child off to college I am putting up this Silly Sonnet in their honor.

If I fly too low
you help me off the ground.
If I fly too high
I know your by my side.

again...these are never corrected poems I scribbled in a book when I was an American living and going to school in Norway.  I simply am turning them into digitized versions of their originals.  :)

am I cold and heartless?

So Sair was going to Prom with her boyfriend of about nine months and he called her Wednesday night after she got home from confirmation and
BROKE UP WITH HER OVER THE PHONE???
Yes, I think that is gutless and he is a rude little pig - frankly I did not care for him much, he would slobber on her in front of us, she seemed to pay for everything and he was not even one-tenth as cute as she deserved.
Her mom let her stay home from school. I did not really agree with that - he does not go to her school and it is just a boyfriend...
I said this to the T-Bone and he disagreed BIG TIME - he said, "What would she learn if she just was at school to cry all day? She was all ready for prom and everything."
Thus revealing once again that mommy is probably a big meanie.
Thoughts?

Our kids love their gifts...I have to remember that when I see the bills.
