I have been a Hillary gal all along. I loved her haircuts and style BECAUSE everyone picked on her.
I cried while I watched the video tribute, I sat in disbeleif as she said that "...Obama is my candidate..." What she did made us all proud to be women - she is all class - a better woman than I am.
Because I still don't get it. I don't think I ever will get why anyone thinks a one-term Senator who speaks well can be a great President(I still have not heard any solutions or words that mean anything to me)...but, I will more than likely swallow my pride and vote for him so I don't end up ticked off if he loses. Especially since I like Biden...
But I am telling you now,
I am NOT happy about it one little teenie tiny bit.
No more politics from me for the rest of the year - I will tell you that now.
EXCEPT if the Republicans get in my way when I am coming to work next week - there will be H-E-double toothpicks to pay Pawlenty and the rest of you. So stay off the streets near my office!!!!! ;) like that will happen - I work downtown St. Paul.
Added Later - Feel Free to comment on what a Dumb *** Jason Kidd is...

My hubby, gotta love him. He read the blog yesterday and said, "You misquoted me. I never said swimming was for sissies - I said no one gave a **** about swimming."
Okay.
"You know, I think people get a biased opinion of me when you describe me in your blog."
DUH!
It is my blog.
He was proud that I won the makeover and really, my little drama queen seems to be dying for me to write about him. This is the email I got at work today ---

Mama Mia weekend...
Sunday, August 24, 2008
Today capped off the weekend by finishing homework, taking Boo Boo La La to the Farmer's Market and Whole Foods - she wearing a t-shirt, skort, hello kitty flip flops, and kicky knit winter hat!
I should have taken a picture I know!!!
We got all kinds of goodies including: tomatoes of heirloom varieties, basil, parm reg., cucumbers, beans, lettuces, that good kettle corn, and other fun stuff.
Came home and made big batch of pesto to freeze.
Almost finished the laundery entirely!!! (is it ever really done?)
and this after not ONE but TWO toddler birthdays yesterday (Saturday).
Both fun, but VERY different.
Happy two Miranda
Happy three Alex
Yes, one girl and boy, DUH the parties were different!
And EXCELLENT sushi friday night with the girls - LOBSTER ROLL ROCKS!! followed by viewing the most awesome movie ever made.
Really, don't judge, just GO!!!!

I am not a stickler for spelling or grammar, but damn it (!!!) get the words right when you sing a song - and get your story straight when you tell it to people!!!
Overheard today:
You know William Hurt was supposed to be in “The Big Chill”.
Really?
Yeah, see in the beginning they are getting together from college to bury a friend who committed suicide and all you see are his arms as they pull the sleeves down over where he slit his wrists.
Wow!
I don’t know if they filmed flashbacks or anything, but they all got cut.
Oh no, that would have been cool.
***if you do not know what is wrong with this conversation, do NOT tell me!!!***
***My brother said to "punch them in the weiner"***

The second root canal did not help, I still had an aching tooth - so I called the endodontist and went in AGAIN.
I needed this lovely procedure called an Apicoectomy, fun huh?
Basically my root canal had an infection and they had to go in through the gums - I have EIGHT stitches, and the worst part is that it is on my front TOOTH, so it is hard to talk.

*sigh*
You KNOW how I love to talk.
This is NOT a picture of my mouth, but the tooth missing is the one I had trouble with. Thankfully I did not need to have it pulled, they were worried it might be cracked.
That would have bit! (pun intended)

Just FIVE reasons, let me see....

There is a cool contest I am entering and I hope – hope – hope I win!!!!!
I have to give the five reasons why I am deserving of a blog makeover.
Five reasons I hope Burg and BlogMomma’s pick ME for a facelift:
- All the cool mommies who destest bologna have tricked out blogs.
- My baby remains constipated and I had to give her a glycerin suppository. She is freakishly strong, I got sweaty. :( SIDE NOTE: If I win I promise I will either Post – Or NOT Post a new picture of her poo! Your choice gals!
- It might help my grade in accounting at Capella! I am getting an “A” – but I do have to take the final yet….
- I blogged twice in ONE DAY!!!
- I have been trying to find someone to design me a new blog, but they are all too busy, taking the summer off – or just had a baby! Does that sound whiney? Sorry, I get that from my kids. ;)
Well, that is my list ladies – Enjoy!
5.2 would be that I am tired of the dots, but Boo Boo La La calls polka dots - "coconuts" - so they aren't all bad....
Here we go again.
For the last few months people around us have been trying to get our little girls to understand this book.
We are counting the days until we can be free from diapers and on to moving them deeper into toddlerhood... in fact some friends have said the deed is almost done - except all of a sudden -
WHERE IS THE POOP?!?
Every child I know is constipated and crying that they do not want to poo poo on the potty!!!
Boo Boo La La begs for her diaper and still she has been unable to go for the last 36 hours and counting... she crys and says her tummy hurts. AND we are still taking the miralax...it is so confounding.
Especially when Oprah lays on a thick layer of guilt.
I wish we were back here in the good old days.
* to those of you with no kids, bet you had no idea there were so many potty books. some with sounds and everything!!! enjoy.

We spent time on a pontoon fishing and sunning on Tuesday - Marin loves to hold the fishies - this year she did not want to kiss them though....
Because there is a teenager who refuses to go out without straightening her hair and ensuring she looks "perfect" there was a lot of grooming at the condo....

Boo Boo loves to put on "sparkles".
Generally everyone had a good time.
Got a chance to read some blogs...

I love Slacker Mommy! You are the queen of my double-wide lady!
YUM - and leftovers

Been a while since I made anything so delicious.
It is called Ravioli Plus because you can make it in two versions for picky eaters - what I did is just
- make the chicken, asparagus, onion, tomato mixture
- heated pasta sauce
- cooked tortellini, Putney Pasta brand is best and found in organic frozen aisle at Cub
- allowed delighted guests to pile on what they wished, mom and dad loved it - even Boo Boo La La ate her weight in tortellini!
Plus, it was super simple.
Enjoy!
I must be growing up....

I used to not use eye makeup remover - I thought it was dumb. Then last night I realized I recently bought some and was actually USING it.
Weird, huh? It isn't like it is special or anything - just a plain old bottle of CVS generic eye makeup remover - but it sort of snuck up on me.
Also - my computer at work crashed - that meant I could go back to snapfish and download old pictures again!

Baby Names
Wednesday, August 13, 2008
Baby names were the topic of conversation on the radio station I listen to this morning.
They were discussing older names that have fallen from favor, Gertrude - Oliver - etc. And how people feel proprietary about the name they give their child.
I could relate so I called in...
You see, part of the reason I call my baby Boo Boo La La here is that I secretly do NOT want anyone to name their child the same name as mine...I LOVE the name, and LOVED that it was unique.
Imagine my distress when I had people begin to tell me they knew people with my baby's name.
I WAS PISSED TO THE MAX!!!
I mean - WHAT RIGHT DO THOSE PEOPLE HAVE TO TELL ME I DID NOT PICK A UNIQUE NAME???!!!!
darn it all to heck.
The ultimate sin was committed last week - and I called to share the story(essentially this is how it went down):
Radio Dj 1: Hey Lisa, you feel you have proprietary rights over your childs name, what is it?
Me: I am not going to tell you.
Radio Dj's: WHOAH! Really?
Me: No, I grew up with a super common name Lisa Ann - there were like 8 in my graduating class of 260 people. I wanted a unique name for my baby - I even researched it on the Social Security website to be certain it was not common.
Radio Dj 2: Oh, I guess we can't relate...(thier names are Liv and Colleen and they feel their names are not so common)
Me: Yes, and last week on vacation someone had the NERVE to tell me they knew a girl in their neighborhood that had my BBLL's name - AND was born within TWO WEEKS of my baby. I was so mad!!!
Radio Dj 1: Wow, and they live in MN
Me: Yup! I am livid.
So you see, I am CRAZY.
It is official.
AND I shared my crazy with everyone driving in their cars this morning at 8:05 am....
