Talk amongst yourselves...

I am going to Springsteen tonight...yes, I sometimes say he is "Whiney Man-Music".

HOWEVER, I hear he rocks live so I am going...
so the topic to discuss amongst yourselves is this...
There is a woman I work with who does not watch television. She does not own a television. She has no kids either, but I digress. She gets all her news from the INTERNET - she says that "Television journalism does not allow you to get the facts, it is clouded by opinion."
What do you think about that?

does she read from trusted sites or does she read anything any crazy person wants to post? Is she aware that sites such as wikipedia can be changed by anyone? Now, this isn't saying that TV is perfect either but I do believe in having a well rounded resource for information....

I would need to know what sites she references on the internet. If you look at one news worthy item - and see how it is presented by multiple sites, she may be able to formulate an honest opinion. I don't think that TV media, print media or internet is all 100% factual. They all have a spin of some sort.

I think she's an idiot and I'm jealous that you get to see the Boss and I don't.

Like the others said, it does matter where she gets it from. But if she does it right then she's getting much deeper news than what the TV provides.
