So yes, I have been really busy and totally ignoring my blog.

BAD MOMMY

But, I partially hated how it looked and just had not made much effort to get that fixed.

I originally had some random blogger template.

Then I won a contest and got a design.  It was fine, but I kind of "outgrew" it so I purchased this template from some blog designer who probably does not exist anymore.

It was really cute, right??  Yet somehow I thought if I paid someone to custom design my blog I would be so much happier.

Wrong.

I hated the process, I hate how it turned out.  I couldn't ask for any more revisions.  It just got too much.  Every time I tried to explain the look - it got more country-fied. 

Yuck.

It was not the blog designers fault, I mean I picked the original elements and she went from there.  It just somehow went sideways from what I actually wanted. 

Something like what I had above, just more customized.

But now I have even outgrown that.  I am a mother to a child who turns, in her words, the BIG 1 - OH, next winter and I need something a little cleaner and more sophisticated. 

So pretty soon.  

I am excited.
