Siri SUCKS!

Yesterday I was driving and I asked Siri to make a call for me.  Having just switched over to an iPhone in May, after only having a Blackberry (only one, my first phone) and Samsung phones since I have had a cell phone -  I was not used to the response.  

I said, "Hey Siri, call Athleta Customer Service" to which I expected it to pull the 800 number - and I got a list of local Athleta locations instead!?!?!? 

Like Siri, you are totally useless.

Even my Google Home knows to pull up this number.

Can someone who else has gone from Samsung to Apple, or vice versa, please explain to the rest of the idiots out there that an iPhone is NOT superior in.any.way? Any of my Samsung Galaxy phones run circles around my iPhone 12 Pro. CIRCLES. It is an electronic brick. 

I have this phone for one reason only - Find My.  I had a very scary phone phishing experience and do not want to repeat it so I track my kid. She hates it, but too f'ing bad. 

So Samsung, if you are listening, get a service that is free like Find My on your device that can track an iPhone and I will be back faster than you can say, "Hey Siri, you are useless." to which Siri replies "That's not nice." but too bad you really suck. 

I broke my rule....

Due to an accidental drowning - Boo Boo La La lost her iPod.

She didn't even have it a whole year and she was totally crushed.

Daddy promised her a new one, but the first one that came was a dud. You could not set it up and it didn't hold a charge for more than a few hours anyway.

Then we got busy and she had tablets she could use that Mommy and Daddy use, but not as much as their phones.

We toyed with the idea of a phone to replace the iPod until I found out how much it would be each month to get her service.  She is ten - she mostly texts her friends on a free texting app over our WiFi and she can get Xfinity WiFi almost everywhere in our neighborhood.  So, that was out.

Then I happened to Google, "Best deal on an iPod touch", and voila - Target.

The closest ones to us had VERY FEW IN STOCK and they, of course, were open.

So, Mommy broke her rule.

She shopped on Thanksgiving.

Grandpa is a pushover...

I was looking for a picture of my Mom and Dad yesterday - so I cruised on over to Snapfish, our family album of choice, and found this one from Parley Lake Winery and Apple Orchard.

If you need to go apple picking, I highly recommend one with wine tasting as an option.

I now see the action that got my Dad to fork over $10 for ANOTHER bag of apples.  She just took them out of there and looked at Grandpa with the look that says, "I am taking these out of here and you WILL buy them for me old man.  I am cute, named after YOU, and you love me so, nyah."

He never stood a chance.

Secret Santa - usually I do not play...

I tried to be a good corporate employee and play in Secret Santa games several times, but I always ended up with someone I did not know AT ALL. And the results were that they made FACES when they opened what I thought were fine gifts. I mean DAMMIT I put a LOT of thought into finding just the right thing after asking about you.
