Seriously. When is Brett Favre ever going to be done? Will he go on forever?
just another amazing pass in the last second of the game - how will Denver get over his crushing their amazing field goal?

I uploaded pics to Snapfish from T's Birthday finally. This is the best one here
<-------------
I am up early today and for once (!) Boo Boo la la is not. We are not going to see the animaldoc and her baby today...poor julia had a fever for the last two days. The doc did not gloat---even though she called during the Vikes game yesterday---her hubby Matt is a HUGE Eagles fan, as he is from that part of the world.
Here is my spiderweb cake. It turned out pretty neat...I almost lost it when I was showing it off though!! It just about slid off the plate....I am a dork!
We are going trick-or-treating with Becks, Kendall and Mason on Wednesday! Hope we get more snickers than butterfingers!!
Is it wrong?
Sunday, October 28, 2007
Is it wrong to be sad that Tori & Dean Inn Love is over? I am feeling withdrawal symptoms...I hope they are back.
Meantime I need to uncover more details on their potential show on XM Satellite Radio; the final episode said they had an 'offer'. We will see.
My hubby is upstairs yelling at Brad Childress...I think I will go to my room and catch up on magazine reading while Boo Boo la la naps. :)

Saturday
Saturday, October 27, 2007
Terry got up and fed Marin breakfast so I could lay in bed for a bit...that is always a good start to the weekend.
I got up and got dressed, then we were off to Byerly's. My favorite Byerly's is the one by the old Planet Ford; but I forgot Highway 100 was closed today past 394 until I got past 55. I exited at Glendale, then we meandered around the side roads/frontage roads until we got to that Byerly's. I was okay with that, lazy Saturday with no where to really be.
We got lots of nice help from the employees as we were looking for specific items, then when we were checking out the nice checkout lady said, "So did you have trouble with 100 closed, or did you just come down Louisiana?" Uh, yeah! That's what I did...on the way home! I am so goofy sometimes when I forget that there is a simpler way. I always make it harder somehow.
* pause, OH SH**!
Like just now when I realized that I had a pan of brownies ready for the oven on the counter and for sure the oven is pre-heated after 15 minutes or so! I am making a recipe I found on Simondelivers in honor of Halloween. Enjoy! I will let you know how they turn out later.
Brownies with caramel are baked in a round pan, frosted, and decorated to look like a spider web. Halloween fun!
SERVES: 12
PREP TIME: 5 Minutes
COOK TIME: 30 Minutes
Ingredients
1 package Brownie Mix for an 8 or 9 inch pan1 tub White FrostingBlack Decorating Gel - or - 1/4 cup Chocolate Frosting
Directions
Follow directions on box to prepare the brownies. Bake in a ROUND 8 or 9 inch pan instead of a square one. Cool.
Remove brownie from pan and place on serving plate. Frost with your choice of white frosting.
Make a spiral of decorating gel or chocolate frosting onto the white frosting. Note: If using chocolate frosting, put into one corner of a ziptop bag. Snip the very, very end of the bag to create a piping bag.
Pull a toothpick through the spiral from the middle to the outer edges about every inch or two to make the spider web. Serve with a cold glass of milk and other Halloween Treats.

I thought you got a wide-awake drunk if you gave a drunk coffee. But, then I saw a billboard for Wide Eye Schnapps. Check it out, it is a riot.
I believe schnapps is just for snowmobiling---and only rootbeer or blackberry. OR if your mom is a fuzzy navel kind of gal.
Missing children and other tragedies
Thursday, October 25, 2007
It always disturbs me---sometimes to the point of sobs---when you hear about another missing child, or mother, or worse.
New news on Madeline McCann today just makes me crazy. What happened there, did they really drug the kids? What were they doing leaving them alone in the apartment anyway? I do not understand it one little bit...no audio monitor? I mean even if they could see the door of the apartment from the restaurant, what does that mean? Why couldn't they have someone sit in there and ensure nothing happened?
AND if it was them---FOR SHAME! And even if it was not, they were not very responsible.
Sorry for the rant day.

Finally!

Finally we will all get to know the name of the newest Pfeiffer! My friend H. went in today, shortly before 2pm, to have her baby! Yeah!
Keeping in touch
I talked with a friend last night...it is so hard to keep in touch with the people you love. Don't you think? She told me she was reading my blog; and I thought, "How COOL!" She is keeping up with what I am doing even if I do not know it. It made me happy that I could 'keep in touch' without worrying that I am a bad friend.
:)
Another friend was talking about online shopping addictions, she just gave me another one. Can you believe there is a website devoted entirely to home-made/custom clothing and recycling? I am in real trouble because it has tons of cute stuff. (and who can beat a custom skirt made just for you for $35?) Check out ETSY if you dare!
Don't tell Terry I already bought THREE things. ;)
I colored my hair the other day, just darker blonde do not get undies bunched up kids! So after I did that I decided to get my hair cut. I am off to see the SIL this afternoon to get that accomplished. Promised her a white chocolate mocha from Caribou for her tip! Well, she will probably get cash too... :)
My new boss flies in on Thursday, my daycare provider flies out on Wednesday! It should be interesting with Boo Boo la la being watched by daddy dave the rest of the week! I hope I get some sleep! And not too many calories from going out for breakfast, lunch and dinner while my boss is here!
OH! I got the smak-down from some lady on my Hi-5 blog! She thinks I am stating 'fact' when I posted my 'opinion' about the show Hip-Hop Harry being creepy. Tell me what you think!
--notice the court appointed supervision in the background ;)

RetailMeNot
Monday, October 22, 2007
There is this cool website called RetailMeNot.com that gives codes for all kinds of online shopping. I found awesome SimonDelivers.com coupons there.
WHAT? You have not tried Simon? It is awesome!
When I travelled for work it was a godsend. I could get groceries from the road delivered so Terry and the kids would not starve...and now it is just good sometimes to not have to go to Cub.
Simon emails you codes to entice you to order more and people share them on RetailMeNot! I just shared the BEST CODE EVER! DPFREE07 that gets you free delivery for the rest of the year! Simon even lets you use more than one code.
I just got $180 worth of groceries for $140 and no delivery fee.
Get online!

Zoo Zoo Zoo, we're going to the Zoo...
How about you?
Do you remember that song from Sesame Street? I do; and sing it in my head EVERY time I go to the zoo. Which we did yesterday.
It was fun because we had a nice group. Me, DH, Boo Boo La la, our friends Todd and his galpal, T, P, and little Miranda. We walked through MN Trail and the Tropics, Discovery Bay, then had some lunch. BBLL chowed down a dog and she and Miranda generally kept everyone giggling.
Then we walked out on the Northern Trail a bit. BBLL was so full of energy. When we got up to the tiger area there was one walking along the glass and patting the glass. It was so cool how close we got to it; she was not one bit scared she was fascinated by him. It was super cool.
Later she wanted to hop in with the prairie dogs...she is a goof.
I hope everyone had as good a time as I did. :)
Have a good week.

"That Vaccine"
Friday, October 19, 2007
My step-daughter had "that vaccine", her mother asked DH last spring if he would have a problem with it and DH asked me what I thought. I made the mistake of saying I had always planned that little boo boo la la would have it when she was old enough...he said, THEN WHY DIDN'T YOU SUGGEST IT FOR SAIR?
Uhhhhhh...because I forget about things like that? I AM blonde!
But at least I am not ignorant like the conservative "Christian" right.
It blows my mind that someone would begin to equate a vaccine that prevents women from DYING from cervical cancer with immorality. It is not like you tell a young girl, "Look Betty, we are giving you this shot so you can have all the sex you want and not get cancer. Got it? Go out now and find yourself a nice 12 year old boy to do the horizontal mambo with and come back later for some milk and cookies." give me a break.
You tell the kid that this shot will keep them safe from a form of virius that causes cervical cancer! If they ask what cervical cancer is you can explain, or have the doctor do it when you go for the shot. Talk about your values if they have questions, but really it is not about sex!
Do you agree with me? Or am I crazy?

Happy Birthday to Daddy!
Wednesday, October 17, 2007
Terry is OLD today. So, it was really funny that my friend who is about to become a Mommy(ANY DAY NOW!) Sent me an email with reasons Daddy's should not be allowed to shop for baby clothes.
Here was my fav! Hope you are not easily offended...if you are ---LOOK AWAY FROM THE BLOG! ;)

There is some sad news to report today. Our daycare provider Jackie lost her big beautiful black lab Blue today. Blue was the best! All the kids are going to be sad. Marin does not even call dogs "puppy" or "doggie" she calls them all Blue...hope he is playing fetch and getting the juciest steaks up in heaven. Miss you Blue. :(

Wills & Kate
It must be said that my family has a long history of interest in the British Royal Family. My Grandfather was an Anglophile of the highest order; he wore tweed and plaid, vests and caps. He even smoked a pipe a la Sherlock Holmes. My Grandmother and Uncle always have interest in any kind of celebrity---they watch Dancing with the Stars for crying out loud. My brother and I were in pop radio, nuff said. Then my parents---While Mom & Dad may say they are not into it; I know they have had a subscription to People since I could read!!! Which brings me to the subject at hand today. Wills & Kate.
WHO?!? You mean you do not know?
When I was a teenager Prince Charles married Lady Diana Spencer. I got up at about 4am to watch it on the telly. Almost one year later they had a son, William, born June 21, 1982. I nearly screamed my head off that day. Imagine the future Kind of England is born on YOUR BIRTHDAY. So that is Wills, but who is Kate?
Do you not read People Magazine? Kate Middleton is the on-again girlfriend of Prince William and they are now speculating she will be the future QUEEN, sorry Camilla.
I probably care more than I normally would that William marry Kate, you see I discovered last year, before they broke up over the spring and summer, that Kate shared a birthday with someone else VERY special. Yes, her birthday is January 9! She is a Capricorn and born on the same day as my sweet little girl.
Before you worry that she will be a princess about it...know that Joan Baez, Simone De Beauvoire, Richard Nixon & a Pope are all also born on January 9.

Monday Monday...

I always kind of like Monday. It seems like most people do not, but I think it is a whole chance for a new beginning. You have the whole week ahead of you to get new things accomplished.
That said, it is 2:30 and I have done a TON today!
I reached out to 3 team members to get on appointments with them
I connected with my GM and my Director
I finished my laundry
I baked a birthday cake for the DH - even frosted it!
I mailed a few letters, followed up on calls and emails to potential new clients
I even confirmed an appointment for next week.

But if you do not like Monday, you can always commiserate here:

SO FUNNY! I subscribe to a Hi-5 Yahoo group of parents whose children are, basically, addicted to the show. My 22 month old child watches it like a hop-head watches his stash. Most of the parents have a great sense of humor, and apparently so do some bloggers!
They sing a song called "Some Kind of Wonderful" - no not the pop tune - and this blogger made fun of it! I love that! :)
Back to my homework.

I finally turned on my home computer today so I could look at some emails that were sent to me. American Express blocks Youtube, Myspace and some other random websites.
The above links to a video my dad sent to me; it is totally worth the time to view. I was laughing so hard I cried.

Once Upon a Child
Thursday, October 11, 2007
Have you even been to a Once Upon a Child store? I hate their jingles sooooo much; I swore I would NEVER EVER GO THERE. But then Faux Martha called me and told me about a deal they were having and I caved! FULLY! I have bought pj's, toys, clothes, shoes and a Little Tykes car for the Boo Boo La La there. It is awesome.
The thing I have yet to understand is why they turn down some of my items. I mean really? Nothing that I bring is worn or stained....today they even turned down a NEW JACKET WITH CUTE PUPPY PURSE THAT STILL HAD THE TAGS ATTACHED???? My husband has a theory that they only take a percentage of your stuff and the more you go there the higher the percentage of stuff they will take. Hmmmmm. Wonder if he is right because they did take most stuff this time and it was my third sale to them. Also I am SHOCKED at the quality of some stuff they do stock. You really have to pick through to find cute things. If you choose to go plan for at least an hour, with kids closer to two.
This is the CUTE coat and purse that once upon a child *rejected*! Want it?

Dress up!
Wednesday, October 10, 2007

This is what I was for Halloween 2006. A winter fairy with fuschia wings a wand and a pink tutu over my snowsuit. It was about 20degrees out and grandpa and mommy took me "Trunk or Treating" at church. I was so cute I made the monthly newsletter AND the church bulliten board!

This is what I will be for Halloweeen in 2007! A warm and cuddly ladybug.
Mom got this costume for 99cents on eBay. Mom loves eBay and I am learning to use it.
What takes up my time?
So, I promised myself I would blog this time around. I tried at MySpace but it seemed so .... odd. Today I got an email from FauxMartha about her blog and I was impressed. I need to ramble more...why don't I do that? What EXACTLY is taking up all my time?
Here is how it goes from the time I hear the call of MOMMY! at about 7am each day.
1) I want cereal.
2) No cereal. Juice.
3) Mommy SIT!
4) *cereal is thrown on the floor & I clean it up*
5) NO OFF JAMMIES!!!!
6) Lotion?
7) *as we are getting clothes on* Bye-bye lotion!
8) NO MOMMY DRESSED! NO! BOOK!!!!
9) Quatty move!
10) No car, NO!
11) MOMMY! what marin? MOMMY! what marin we are almost there? MOMMY!
12) *getting third cup of coffe and heading to the laptop*
13) need to check email.....
And now it is 10:14 am and where did the morning go?
On and on it goes all day, and now I have another class---who hoo HR management.
Can you tell I am psyched?
You know it is not so bad though. The job comes with hugs and kisses.
